Tonight was fun. After work, Avi, Mike, Mark, Ori and me walked over to Remedy Bar for the Hopkins alumni event. Erin and Alex showed up too which was cool. We (minus Ori and Mike) all then hung out at Go Sushi on 51st for over 2 hours just shooting the shit. We gave Mark so much grief over his new mp3 player. I also found out about Snipe hunting which (according to Erin) is a midwest thing where they take you into a forest blindfolded and you have to find your way back while bagging these birds called Snipes - weird!! Also, it turns out that Avi and his friends used to make themselves pass out. All in all it was a fun night followed by a walk home in the bitter cold and rounded up the night nicely with a few rounds of Tekken with Kyle and Andy. Now I'm just waiting for the dry cycle to end so i can take my laundry out and go to bed - what a rough life :)

Its past 1am and I really should be asleep. I wish this weather would get better. Some sun and warmth would be very nice. Although I am looking forward to snowboarding this weekend. Hopefully i'll come back without any broken bones considering I havent been on the slopes in almost 2 years.
So I've committed to another year at the apartment. Its funny how I seem to update this journal every time something is up with the living situation. Things are going fine this time around though.

If someone is actually reading this, I apologize for the lack of more detailed updates. Too much going on right now (thieves, final exams, studying, good friends leaving, moving, working, etc.). Very soon (next week?) I'll get better at this. Maybe I'll even fill in the gaps.
The good news is that I finally found a place to live (most probably) and I'm liking work so things could be worse :)

Sleep is calling my name so I'll keep this short.
I started work this week and I really like it. I've met a bunch of cool people. Both thursday and friday nights were pretty disastrous but a lot of fun. This weekend entails studying for next week's exam (I feel like I'm back in school).
Sleep is catching up with me so more later ...

I got woken up this morning by a phonecall from work saying that all my paperwork came through and I was good to go! Its such a relief and I'm looking forward to starting work. No more being a bum for me. Real world here I come ! :-)

My day sucked but my evening was fun!
Day:
Woke up in time to move my car before street cleaning began.
Another fruitless visit to the post office.
Another chicken gyro on 6th Ave.
Another stroll through shops to pass time.
Evening:
I went for a long ride through riverside park first and then along the hudson. It was extremely humid but it only motivated me to ride faster since that meant a stronger breeze.
I got back just in time to shower and make my 7pm appointment to go see a "room available" on 105th and Columbus. I liked the place and the 2 people living there (Kevin and Kate) were really cool. I wasn't too excited about the neighborhood but its not ruled out yet since I need to make a decision quick.
Afterwards I went to dinner with my new neighbor, Nora. We went to a mexican place called "Nacho Mamas". I didnt catch the pun at first (Not Your Mama's, get it?). The food was really good and I had a good time. We walked back looking for the "movie on the lawn" but apparently it got moved indoors because of the rain and we missed it. We ended up going to the movies to watch "Road to Perdition" which was extremely good - go watch it!
Now its time to hit the sack so I can wake up and go to the post office tomorrow :) Goodnight !

Just took a short nap but the heat and humidity made it extremely uncomfortable. To top it off my window faces the west and the sun is shining bright into my eyes - and these shades don't stay down !
Allright, no more bitching. I wonder if this page will turn into my very own bitchfest ! I hope not. It will drive the crowds away. I guess it would help to have an audience before I worry about driving them away.
I read an article today that started off as a counter offensive against people attacking Bush's public speaking skills. Very soon though it turned into a diatribe about Arafat and why he should be ousted. I guess there is no argument in favor of Bush's skills as an orator. :-p

So I decided to sign up for livejournal. I'm not sure how good I'll be about keeping it up to date or if anyone will even bother reading it but its only a start.
It looks like the apartment situation might finally be nearing an end. I really hope so. I've seen so many apartments over the past month or so, I could start my own brokerage firm in manhattan!
